Site Info
This website came about from a conversation I was having with some friends about the upcoming 2008 election. I'm a registered independent (from NH, but unfortunately residing in MA at the moment), and so my stance on politics and voting is based off of my personal interpretation of "Live Free or Die". Basically, I vote for whoever I want, political party candidate or not. I vote for whoever I am most comfortable with endorsing for the position in question. I've always been comfortable endorsing Henry Rollins' opinions and decision making, so he's always been my default. If a political party candidate impresses me enough that I feel it warrants my supporting vote, then I'll vote for that candidate. If none of them live up to my standard for president, then I default to someone who does. In this case, Henry Rollins. That's been the case since I could vote (from the 2000 presidential election on). I didn't vote for Rollins in '00, I voted for one of the candidates. I did vote for him in '04, because none of the popular candidates met my expectations. After conversing with a number of friends and random people over the years about it, I got enough responses along the lines of "That's actually a good point", to at least entertain people with the idea of voting for Henry Rollins with a website. That's the brief, inarticulate justification for the site's existence.
